Earlier, the bottom plate of container homestays used solid wood flooring that had undergone anti-corrosion treatment. This type of flooring continued to rot after prolonged use, but was gradually replaced by multi-layer plywood that had undergone anti-corrosion treatment. Let me talk about the anti-corrosion treatment of container homestay flooring.
One of the main differences between container bottom plates and ordinary plywood is that they must undergo anti-corrosion treatment, which includes two aspects: anti-corrosion and insect proof. That is, preservatives must have both anti-corrosion and insect proof effects, or preservatives must contain both fungicides and insecticides.
Anti corrosion treatment method for container bottom plate:
1. Pressure impregnation treatment, mainly used for solid wood and veneer.
2. Adhesive layer treatment, the latter is mainly used for plywood and laminated timber. Adhesive layer treatment is the addition of preservatives to the adhesive. During the molding and bonding process of plywood or laminated wood, preservatives penetrate into the wood (veneer), playing a role in anti-corrosion.
One reason for doing this is to extend the service life of the container bottom plate (wood), so that the service life of the wood bottom plate is close to the service life of the container; The second is to prevent the spread of harmful organisms (such as wood decay fungi and wood pests) through the circulation of containers. Due to the fact that preventing the spread of harmful organisms falls within the scope of health quarantine, it is also known as the immunization treatment of container floor, but in essence, it is the anti-corrosion (including insect prevention) treatment of wood and plywood.
